We have horse pack-in hunting camps located in remote areas of both Montana and Idaho. These
tent camps give your hunting party and guide access to some prime wilderness area hunting with limited access, biological trophy management and superb habitat. Camp Accommodations and Services
The camp accommodations include sleeping quarters, dining facilities , horses and tack and the caliber of our personnel is top notch.
Sleeping quarters consist of wall tents. Each tent is provided with cots, foam pads, wood heating stove, and a Coleman lantern.
Guides & packers have their own individual tent facilities within camp. Lodging and home cooked meals are complimentary. All horses and mules are corralled and saddles are neatly stored away. The most inexperienced rider will feel at ease on our gentle horses. We do have a 250lb weight limit.
Your guides will professionally skin and cape your trophies. All gutting, quartering and packing is performed by our guides and packers. We will transport your game meat to a local processor if you so desire.
You are responsible for your personal gear only. We will forward you a "Suggested What to Bring" list with the intention of helping you prepare for your hunt. Transportation to and from the Missoula airport is included in your hunt with no additional charge for those that fly.
What to expect
Your camp is located right in elk hunting areas so you don`t have to go far to find Elk. The opportunity for a trophy bull is always at hand and you should conduct your camp activities accordingly. You can expect to be into elk almost every day providing you are in good physical condition.
This is high country. It`s mostly open and huntable with many big grassy meadows and timbered draws. Lots of opportunity for you to hunt the way you want; glass and stalk, still hunt through the lodge pole, or maybe sit on a stand for a while. The "brow tined bull" game management of this area has really enhanced an already great trophy bull population. In these back country areas, this very good elk habitat, along with solitude and remote location of your camp, will provide you the best possible opportunity to take that trophy bull elk of a lifetime.
